A video is being distributed widely on social media that has captured the heckling of Pakistani Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb – at a coffee shop in London – by some people who are said to be supporters of Pakistan Tehreek -E -inaf (PTI) Imran Khan. The clip has encouraged many people to tweet to support ministers who, they said, faced harassment with great peace.
The group of people – believed to come from Pakistan, according to the Dawn News website – can be heard chanting ‘Chorni Chorni’ (thief) in a clip, which captures chaos. One of the women – recording it – was heard saying that Aurangzeb “made a big claim on television there and he did not have dupatta on his head”. However, the minister did not react to the protest.
Pakistani Information Minister is currently in London as part of the Delegation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who is on his way back after attending the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
She braved it with aplomb. The shame is for the harassers. The trend will be irresistible for others. It is only a matter of time before PTI women or Imran himself face the same situation. I will condemn it even then but with the reminder that what goes around comes around. pic.twitter.com/UA61Co7Tim

Bringing to Twitter, Aurangzeb shared the video and blamed “The Impact of Toxic from the Politics of Hatred and IMran Khan’s Disconnection”.
Sad to see the poisonous impact of the political hatred & the IK division on our brothers and sisters. I remain & answer every & every question they have. Unfortunately, they are victims of Propaganda IK. We will continue our work to fight the poisonous politics IK & unite people, “he wrote on Twitter.
Sad to see the toxic impact IK’s politics of hate & divisiveness has had on our brothers & sisters. I stayed & answered each & every question they had. Sadly, they are victims of IK’s propaganda. We will continue our work to counter IK’s toxic politics & bring people together https://t.co/KEgOPa5Y3p

Some Pakistani ministers have lifted their votes against the incident. Pakistani Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal called the incident as “the saddest action, can be condemned and shameful by Hooligan PTI” and called Aurangzeb as “Sherni”.
The saddest action, can be cursed and shameful by PTI Hooligans. This is Hitler’s tactic. Imran is a fascist and turns his followers into a street gang. Bagus @marriyum_a you show mercy & face it bravely. Really a Sherni!, “He tweeted.
Most deplorable, condemnable and shameful act by PTI hooligans. These were Hitler’s tactics. Imran is a fascist and turning his followers into street gangs.
Well done @Marriyum_A you showed grace & faced them boldly.
Truly a Sherni! https://t.co/YSmHt0o6Vb— Ahsan Iqbal (@betterpakistan) September 25, 2022
Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif wrote: “When some of our classes did not change even after going to England, these people represent the lowest level of our society.
Giving this color to political differences is a sign of bad training and trend which is the peak of intolerance. The trend of violence in politics after Madhhab will destroy our society. “
