China has begun to build a planetarium at the highest height in the world in Tibet for the exploration of the universe in the “world roof”, the media officially reported on Monday.

Planetarium, scheduled to be completed in 2024, is expected to receive more than 100,000 visitors every year.

China aims to open a window for the exploration of the universe in the “world roof,” reported by the official media here.

This planetarium will have the largest optical astronomy telescope in the region, with a one meter diameter lens, and becomes the main regional basis for astronomical research and public science education, said the Tibetan Department of Science and Technology.
